Synthesis

My E-Prime Day  - describe your day, only using English Prime I wake up from sleeping at 7am on a Monday. I then sit on a pillow and close my eyes. Then I focus on my breathing and try to quiet my mind for about 20min. I then open my eyes and practice lengthening my muscles with stretches.  After this, I go to dive to a person's house to rub their muscles and pull on their limbs to stretch them. After the massage, I go to a place with many trees and run on dirt trails.  Next, I wrote thoughts in a journal and then read. I end the day with eating food with my family and competing in a game of corn hole.  "As above, so below"? Above us are the stars, sky, planets, moons, and sky Below us is the earth, the soil, minerals our planet Bring them together creates us...humans. We are made up of the stars and the above, but we need and require what's below us to live and survive. As above so below and in our center is us. A perfect balance of heaven and earth...

Week 9- Sacred Geometry and Fibonacci

Ø   Are there connections you can make between Sacred Geometry and Physics? There are many links between Sacred Geometry and Physics.  Such as quantum entanglement. In Sacred Geometry measurement is very important and so is the calculation. One degree of difference in design will change and influence the rest of the of geometry. Just like a ripple/butterfly effect which occurs. It sharts with something small, but over great distances, it can have a huge influence. Such as seeds, pine cones, protons, pineapples, cauliflower...etc. It's easy to find common reoccurring patterns all around us in nature. In Chinese medicine, this is often seen and considered when we work with feng shui. Physicists often create mathematical patterns which represent the universe and many of these drawings come out as sacred geometry. One example is the flower of life. Which is a shadow of a Metatron cube. Which represents the entire universe and how everything is interconnected.  Sacr...

Week 8- Classical Physics

1. Newton's Three Laws and me  Law 1) Objects at rest remain at rest, and objects In motion remain in motion. An example of how this could affect me or any other human is when we ride a bike. Say I accidentally crashed my bike.. When the bike crashes it will stop, but my body will not. Whatever velocity I was riding the bike at my body will launch from that bike at the same speed I was riding until I hit something to stop me. Law 2) Force equals mass  times acceleration Say I'm trying to push a very heavy fridge across the floor. Perhaps I have enough strength or force to make that fridge move, but perhaps I don't. I might need someone to help me in order to provide more force. The more force we have the easier we will be able to move the fridge. We could figure out how much force or strength will be needed in order to move the fridge mathematically. In order to do this, I must know the mass of the object and at what acceleration I would like the fridge to move.  ...

Midterm Paper- Time: East vs West

Each culture in the world views time differently. In western culture, time is perceived to be more linear. In America time is valuable on a financial level. Anyone in the western business world typically believes that time is money. Also in the western business world, they believe that making quick decisions is important. If a decision isn’t made right away then time is being wasted and so is their money. Westerns are not as careful with considering how it may affect the future and what mistakes have been made in the past. For the westerns its efficiency they value. Time is closely related to life, money, and efficiency. Westerns don’t view the lessons of the past like the Chinese do, they determine how the past lessons were by how the present situation is. The west very much values the present. While in the Eastern world time is viewed not linear but cyclic. Time is precious and the world has an abundance of it, with this abundance allows them to wait for the perfect time. Every d...

Loafing

I am a huge fan of loafing and have no problem with loafing and not feeling guilty about it. I try to loaf at least 10min everyday. My favorite place to loaf is at the hot springs. When I'm not soaking in the water, I lay a towel or a yoga matt on the ground and just do nothing. I find it deeply healing. My monkey mind tends to slow down and I get clarity on the thoughts that do pop in my head. I gain even more awareness of my body, what is tense and what I need to relax. Which allows me to sink deeper into my puddle of nothingness and peace. My second favorite loafing spot is deep in the forest. I try to find a nice spot near a stream, river or in a tree. Lately, I hike to an amazing oak tree deep in the redwoods. It's the perfect climbing tree and at the very top of this tree is almost like a hand palm, perfect for laying in. I sometimes spend an hour up in the tree just staring at the leaves, listening to nature and getting clarity within myself. This act of doing nothing ...

Week 7: Chaos Theory

1. "Ordered Chao": does this sound familiar? It sounds familiar from class and also i've heard this a time or two in this lifetime. When I think of Ordered Chaos... I think of something happening within some type of pattern, or frame. Which adds some logic and structure to the Chaotic or disordered event or situation. I've heard someone describes a piece of artwork as Ordered Chao's. Which contains a level of creative randomness that makes sense.  2. Fractals as patterns of complex systems No matter how much a piece of cauliflower is broken apart it will always look the same. It doesn't matter how many fractions it's broken into, it still looks like the pattern of cauliflower. This is an example that was given in class. No matter how many times something is broken apart, no matter how small of a fraction it becomes compared to the whole. It still contains the same identity and structure. 3. consciousness out of chaos? Consciousness finds ways of...

Week 6- Vibrations

 Are all vibrations “good”? I believe that vibrations are just simply vibrations. They can be noticed in the most subtle of ways or unsubtle. I believe that our idea of negative vibrations could be related to very low vibrational frequencies. When you meet a new person and just have the gut feeling that the person is not a good person. That's the vibration you are feeling from their qi or energy field. Same with if you meet someone new and you instantly like them and have good vibes from them. Again you are feeling their energy. Another way of thinking about it as a jam band. Example the band Phish sometimes plays improvisational music that just makes us feel so good. Then all of a sudden they fall out of rhythm with one another and they clash. They create music that may make the fan feel uncomfortable or not happy. That discomfort is being sent through the crowd through the speakers. Those vibrations are creating energy which can trigger feelings and emotions for a particular re...
