Week one Assignments
- My Bio: The names Ashlynn Feltz, and I've been on this earth for 25 years. I am originally from Wisconsin, but left at 21 for my first major backpacking trip. My first voyage out of this country was India, where I ended up staying for 6 months. I also have been to Thailand and China. China was my most recent trip. I have been a Massage therapist for 5 years and am blessed to have my own private practice in Sonoma. I am a lover of learning, helping others, the outdoors, yoga, taichi, qigong, meditation, laughing, dancing, tea ceremonies, and deep conversations. I am excited to learn and grow in mind, body, and spirit with my new career to come. 😊
- The Meaning of time:
Whenever I think of slowing down time or speeding up time, I think of Einstein's theory of relativity. Time can be slowed down with time dilation. Time dilation can only occur when moving forward in time and not backward. As a humans speed increases, then time will slow down in order to keep the difference between the speed of light and the person's speeds.
-Reflections on this week's class- The Meaning of Time:
I found this weeks class very engaging for a few reasons. We discussed the concept of time slowing down or speeding up, and it seemed that everyone in the class has experienced both of those sensations with time. In most peoples minds time is a very set thing. We are taught we have 24 hours in a day and each hour can be broken down into 60min. Even with this logical structure of time, based on people's experiences time almost seems like it has some flexibility within one's perception of it. Another topic discussed was black holes and how light nor time can escape it's vacuum to nothingness. Also is time ever changing because the universe is expanding?
The topic of time creates so many questions, which is why I found it so engaging.
